Everything you need to know — from basic controls to advanced combo techniques.
Ninja Veggie Slice uses simple, intuitive controls that anyone can master in seconds.
Hold down the left mouse button and drag across the screen to slice. Release the button and click again to start a new swipe. Move fast for better combos.
Touch the screen and swipe your finger across vegetables to slice them. The game responds to both quick flicks and long sweeping motions.
The goal of Ninja Veggie Slice is simple: slice as many vegetables as possible while avoiding bombs. Vegetables are launched into the air from the bottom of the screen and you must swipe through them before they fall off the edges.
Each vegetable you slice earns points. Missing too many vegetables causes you to lose lives. Hitting a bomb ends the game immediately. Your ultimate goal is to achieve the highest possible score in a single round.
The game has no fixed endpoint — it keeps going as long as you stay alive. Difficulty increases gradually: vegetables fly faster, bombs appear more frequently, and the timing windows become tighter.
Understanding how points are awarded is the first step to mastering the game.
Cutting one vegetable at a time earns base points. Different vegetables are worth different amounts — rarer ones score higher.
Slicing two vegetables in a single swipe doubles the point value of each one. This is the easiest combo to pull off consistently.
Three veggies in one swipe triples your score for that action. Timing your swipe to intersect multiple trajectories is key.
Slicing four or more vegetables in a single motion triggers a Mega Combo with a 5× multiplier. These are rare but incredibly rewarding.
New to the game? These fundamentals will set you up for success from your very first round.
Keep your cursor or finger near the center of the play area. Vegetables fly in from the edges, so a central position gives you the best reaction time in every direction.
Vegetables are often launched in predictable clusters. After a few rounds, you will start recognizing patterns that let you anticipate where the next batch will appear.
Always keep one eye on the bombs. It is better to miss a vegetable than to accidentally swipe through a bomb. A missed veggie costs a life; a bomb ends everything.
Long, sweeping motions look dramatic but give you less control. Short, precise swipes let you target individual vegetables while staying in position for the next batch.
Once you have the basics down, these strategies will push your scores into the stratosphere.
Instead of swiping in straight lines, curve your swipes in gentle arcs. This increases the area covered by a single motion and makes multi-veggie combos far more likely. Practice drawing semicircles with your mouse or finger.
The game launches vegetables in rhythmic waves. Pay attention to the tempo. After each wave there is a brief pause before the next one. Use that pause to reposition your cursor to the center and prepare for the incoming batch.
Bombs tend to appear near the center of vegetable clusters. When you see a tight group, scan for the bomb first before swiping. If a bomb is present, split your swipe into two shorter arcs — one above the bomb, one below — to capture the veggies safely.
As the game speeds up, resist the urge to swipe faster. Instead, focus on accuracy. A missed combo matters less than hitting a bomb. Around the 60-second mark, switch from aggressive combo-hunting to careful survival play until the next wave calms down.
Some players focus only on the center, but vegetables that fly to the screen edges are often uncontested and easy to slice. Make quick flicks to the edges between center waves to pick up free points without risking bomb contact.
The game does not have a built-in pause button since it runs in real time. However, if you switch to another browser tab, the game will effectively freeze until you return.
There is no hard score cap. The game continues indefinitely as long as you keep slicing and avoiding bombs. Theoretical scores in the millions are possible for extremely skilled players.
High scores are stored locally in your browser. As long as you do not clear your browser data, your best score will be preserved between sessions on the same device.
The current version features a classic endless mode. The difficulty ramps up progressively, providing an increasingly intense challenge the longer you survive.
